Trinity School will have a delayed start today, Thursday, January 9, with carpool beginning at 9:45 a.m. and classes beginning at 10:00 a.m. As always, you must make the decision that is best for your family. If you do not think you can travel to school safely, then please stay home. Any weather-related tardies or absences will be excused.

We will continue to monitor weather and road conditions and keep you informed of any further changes to the schedule.

A Guide to Winter Weather Procedures at Trinity School

With the potential for snow and ice in the forecast, it’s time for Chargers to take note of Trinity School’s notification procedures.

The Administrative Leadership Team at Trinity School considers the safety of our students, their families, and our employees when making decisions about adverse weather conditions. We evaluate road conditions as well as campus conditions to determine whether the School can safely open. We also review the decisions that Midland ISD and other nearby school districts make to ensure consistency when possible.

Once a decision is made, we communicate promptly via text, email, automated phone calls, social media postings, and the School website.

We appreciate the understanding and flexibility of our families as we work to ensure the safety and well-being of our community in all weather conditions.

Continue to check your email, trinitymidland.org, and Trinity School’s social media throughout the weather event for important updates.

Updated information will also be shared with local print and broadcast media, but they are not the primary source of closing information. Always check your email and Trinity’s website first.

Note that Trinity School is open for normal business operations and instructional activities unless you are notified by an official alert from Trinity School.

Athletics or Campus Events

In general, all events, including athletic practices and games, are canceled until the campus re-opens. During any closure, we will evaluate road and weather conditions, and the Athletic Department will update families as needed.

Reopening

Trinity’s Administrative Leadership Team (ALT) will continue to monitor weather reports. When a decision is made regarding reopening campus, that information will be communicated the same way as the closing – through text, phone, and email, trinitymidland.org, social media, and local news media.
